Hired by a global chemical company to conduct a benchmarking assessment of energy costs relative to identified competitor plants. ETE worked to reverse engineer the electric, natural gas, and self‐generation costs of identified competitor petrochemical complexes in the US Gulf Coast.

Conducted extensive research into PSC filings, air permits, cogeneration specifications, financial disclosures, S&P Global Market Intelligence asset level data, and other publicly available facility data to estimate costs to generate electricity and steam from onsite cogeneration assets. This analysis was then used to determine the embedded energy cost of chemical product production based on standard industry metrics.
